This week in language arts, I learned the meanings of some really awesome words. One of the words, epiphany, I had already heard, from speech and from Ellen DeGenerous' book, The Funny Thing Is... Epiphany is a word that is basically your ah-ha! moment. My friend in humor, actually made her speech from Ellen's The Funny Thing Is..., which I find hilarious. One of the reasons I love the word epiphany is because of the way my speech friend said it in her humor. That is one of my many reasons on why I love the word epiphany.

This week in math, I learned how to add, subtract, multiply and divide monomials, and polynomials with variables and exponents. I noticed that the monomials and polynomials also have degrees. I liked how easy the homework turned out to be. I wonder if math would be easier if I gave my 100% attention instead of about 88% of my attention. How might I be able to use this in the future? Well, if I get a job like my dad's, (he's an accountant) I will need to know all sorts of math. Any job requires some math. What if I made sure to ask more questions in class instead of hoping that someone else would ask the question that you are thinking of? Then, you need to learn how to be brave and ask questions because that will make you smarter. If you ever have trouble on your homework, make sure to ask somebody for help, because that will make life a whole lot easier.
